3.4.11 Release Notes

Commonwealth Informatics released version 3.4.11 of ESP - https://gitlab.com/ESP-Project/ESP/tree/release/3.4.11

There is an updated File Spec for the data extracts as part of this update - available on the ESP public wiki

Improvements/Updates
Added Infrastructure updates for loading new data into ESP- Updated ESP Filespec  - version 1.5   

1) Risk Factors  
  This is a new table in ESP for storing answers to Risk Factors related questions.
  loading this data into ESP will require a new file to be extracted  - epicrkf.esp.mmddyyyy. 

2) Facility Information for LabResults
      An additional field in the LabResult extract & Table - This is the Facility where the patient was when this lab was ordered

3) Facility Information for Prescriptions
      An additional field in the Prescription extract & Table - This is the Facility where the patient was when this prescription was written

4) Managing Provider for Prescriptions
      An additional field in the Prescription extract & Table – This is the clinical provider managing treatment for the notifiable condition.

NOTE: The updates for Risk Factors and additional Facility and Manging Provider information are the first stage of a roll-out of new reporting capabilities for ESP.  The data structures required for reporting are built in to this release, a subsequent release will incorporate the data into the reports. We are adding the data capabilities first to provide data partners the time to update and test their ESP data feeds.

The Risk Factor Information is a current DPH reporting requirement.  

Sites may chose to either update their ESP systems to support this new extract, or continue the use of paper case report forms for this information.
